Every individual, regardless of their status, requires access to healthcare. When individuals are denied equality in health care, it becomes a challenge and prevents or makes it harder for the groups to be attended to, making it harder for them to recover in the case of a chronic condition. Reforms, therefore, are necessary to try and fix the system and provide equity to every individual in the healthcare sector.

Healthcare inequalities are brought about by ethnicity, race, socioeconomic status, etc. With this factor in play, it becomes hard for certain groups of people to receive quality care. Although there has been a much more inclusive insurance cover, people still can’t have quality care access because insurance does not provide a sufficient means to enable those seeking medical assistance to get it from wherever they want, and even their treatment is still minimal.  With such factors in play, it still means that although changes may have been brought, they have no great impact. Since most people earning low incomes are African Americans and Latinos, there is still a significant difference in how they are treated than white people (Colen et al., 2018). Unfortunately, this affects the poor, and those who are more financially stable in this group still complain that they received poor health treatment compared to poor white people. It is important that everyone gets treated equally to facilitate a more just and fair healthcare system in which every individual receives the best quality care they require.

Every individual requires fair treatment, and this calls for the respective bodies to consider more reforms that will enable every individual to have the best access to healthcare. When someone is treated or taken care of based on their color, gender, or other petty things, it shows how there is still a big divide between groups and a lack of value in life. Such ideas need to be eradicated, and reforms that can provide individuals with better healthcare access to be put in place to have equal opportunities. When individuals are provided with enough salary, it allows them to have a better choice or be able to get quality treatment. Since the issues facing health inequities are vast, each must be handled accordingly to allow everyone to have treatment. Racism is something that first needs to be handled since it plays a fundamental role in structuring socioeconomic roles. With racism in the picture, it contributes to people being marginalized or not accorded quality treatment because they get paid less than whites, which is bad (National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. 2017). The ACA has successfully tried to bring changes; since the people of color account for a substantial amount of the American people, it is important that they are treated equally and offered treatment like the whites ao that as their population grows, they can have less to worry about.

In conclusion, healthcare inequities affect people by denying them chances to get treatment based on gender, race, and socioeconomic issues. In the 21st century, we need to be past such notions and work to ensure that everyone is treated equally. Although reforms have brought a bit of change, it is still yet not sufficient, and the treatment received is not great. Therefore, more measures need to be put in place to ensure that more reforms are brought and fully implemented.
