The Project for Health, Wellness and Self-Care focuses on your self-awareness and reflection to identify your intentions and describe self-care actions to create a plan you will commit to, to live a healthy lifestyle as a student and as a professional nurse. In this Project assignment you will be assessing the strength of your intentions to commit to self-care actions you have identified earlier in the course and may select for your final submission, My Personal Self-Care Action Plan. Review all of relevant assessments and assignments you have submitted to date (review those in Modules 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9). When you have completed this review: Identify two self-care strategies/actions you are willing to commit to, based on the findings from the assessments you have conducted to date (look specifically at your IHWA). Provide an explanation as to why you selected these two. Describe at least one barrier for each of your strategies/actions and ways you will overcome them. Locate a recent evidence based article that supports one of your strategies/actions as one that will be successful in self-care or an article that provides rationale for your description as to how you will overcome barriers to your selected strategies/actions. Attach the article to your submission.
